Black burger bun

The black burger bun (خبز برجر أسود) is for when presentation is part of the dish.

We colour our black buns with squid ink — a classic technique used by serious kitchens that gives a deep, dramatic colour without affecting the bread's structure or overwhelming its flavour. What you get is a soft, even crumb that behaves exactly like a premium white bun: it holds the burger firmly, soaks up juices without disintegrating, and delivers a thin, lightly crisp crust that snaps cleanly on the first bite.

Visually, the contrast is unbeatable — a pale beef patty, white sauce, bright pickles, and this deep black bun makes the whole plate look deliberate. That's why restaurants and food photographers in Kuwait use it.

Every bun is hand-shaped and baked fresh in the morning at our Mubarak Al-Kabeer kitchen. We bake for home use, restaurants, and catering orders.
