Mini Arabic Bread

Mini Arabic bread (خبز عربي صغير) is one of those things that should be simple — and usually isn't, unless you bake it right. The flatbread needs to puff properly in the oven, creating that signature interior pocket, and then cool to a soft, pliable texture that doesn't crack or dry out the moment it leaves the bakery.

At Khobz, we bake our mini Arabic rounds fresh every morning. The dough is simple and honest — flour, water, yeast, a little salt — but the timing, temperature, and handling are precise. Each round puffs fully in the oven, then cools soft so you can fold it without cracking, open it for a pocket sandwich, or tear it for dipping.

These are the everyday bread of Kuwait and the wider Arab world. They belong next to a bowl of hummus, alongside a mezze spread, wrapped around falafel or shawarma, or just eaten warm from the bag with a knob of butter. We don't complicate them because we don't need to.
