The white sourdough (ساوردو أبيض) is the entry point for those who want sourdough without the pronounced nuttiness of whole wheat. Same live starter, same overnight cold fermentation, same hot oven — but made with a refined white flour that gives a lighter interior and a more delicate, mild tang.
The result is a loaf with a pale, open crumb full of irregular air pockets, and a crust that crackles properly. The flavour is clean: slightly sour from the long fermentation, with a soft wheat sweetness underneath. It's more versatile than the brown sourdough — it works with both savoury and sweet toppings without competing.
Use it for: avocado toast, labneh and olive oil, grilled cheese, open sandwiches, or simply torn and dipped in soup. The light colour also makes it the better choice for anyone who finds the more robustly flavoured whole-wheat version too assertive.
Like all our sourdoughs, this is a genuine live-culture loaf — no commercial yeast shortcuts.
